There is overwhelming evidence that exercise therapy is effective at reducing low back pain and disability. However there is no consensus on what exercise or dose is best to achieve this.
As every patient with low back pain presents differently, targeted and individualised treatment is necessary to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
Exercise is a medicine- using the right type, at the right dose and at the right time will yield better clinical results, but how is this best achieved in clinical practice?
In this seminar, Thomas will outline a clear framework that clinicians can use to optimise their exercise programs for low back pain. The framework draws on extensive research from numerous
fields including Motor Control, Strength & Conditioning and Functional Training; blended with Thomas’ extensive clinical experience. The seminar is clinically orientated with lots of real life
patient examples. At the end of the talk, participants will understand how to deliver effective clinically-reasoned therapeutic exercise programs that can be been tailored to the individual patient.
